Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s swanky new ride?

Dato’ Lee Chong Wei is famous for his fast and furious smashes on the badminton court, but off the court, same can be said about his rides too.

A couple of pictures that have been circulating around the Internet suggest that the world number one singles player recently bought himself a spanking new car: a white Ferrari F430!

Debuted at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, the F430 is a lean, mean driving machine; the F430 is powered by a 4.3L V8 engine that oozes more than 480 in horsepower, so yeah, it’s pretty nasty.

The F430 does 0-100km in 4 seconds and it has a top speed of 315km/h. And the price tag? A cool RM1.6 million up!

But before you say that he bought a Ferrari because it’s a Ferrari, the 29-year-old Chong Wei knows a lot about cars. A self-confessed super car lover, he’s already own a sleek grey Nissan GT-R (which he rumoured to have sold off to get the Ferrari), a BMW X6 Coupe and of course, a black Proton Inspira 2.0 – a gift from the car manufacturer to honour his accomplishments.

We still prefer the Ferrari though.
